| Rolling Fork is located along Highway 61, just halfway between Cleveland and Vicksburg. The birthplace of the father of the blues, McKinley "Muddy Waters" Morganfield, Rolling Fork is also home of the Deep Delta Festival, which is held the first weekend of May each year, and the Great Delta Bear Affair, held in mid-October each year. The Great Delta Bear Affair Celebrates another milestone in local and national history - President Theodore Roosevelt's famous 1902 bear hunt in Sharkey County - that gave rise to the creation of not only every child's favorite toy - the teddy bear, but the rise of the entire conservation movement in America. Rolling Fork represents a unique blend of the historical and cultural, serving as prime example of classic Americana. | ![]() |
